I would be interested in both ADF faces integration as well as Weblogic Portal 10.3 integration of Open Faces inside of portlets.

I have a similar issue. I have a backing bean that doesn't see a change if the value is deleted.

The saveChanges function of my bean looks at the field ContactsList.edit_email for the value.

I can provide more detail but do not wish to post my entire source code to a public forum. My code was built similar to the dataTable example but instead of doing edits inline there is an edit button <o:commandButton value="edit"

styleClass="largeFont commandLink"

actionListener="#{contactsList.editContact}"></o:commandButton>

that calls the function that sets addingOrEditingContact variable to true and rerenders the page.

If I take off the textPrompt the bean will recognize the changesm, but I would like to use the textPrompt if possible.

Ok got it, data to send to the backend, easily add a to the commandButton or anything else and catch it in the backend!

We have tried to reproduce second issue with broken javascript execution functionality with the latest version of JExplorer and with JavascriptSample but without success (Windows XP SP3; jdk 1.4.2_13, 1.5.0_21, 1.6.0_19,).

Thank you for contacting in JxBrowser support.

We have not reproduce it on Windows XP SP 3; jdk 1.6.0_19 with following applet files:

applet.html – html file with applet tag

TestJApplet .java – class extended from JApplet

TestJInternalFrame.java – class extended from JInternalFrame

These files you can find in attachment. Also in attachment you can find sample.jar which contans compiled classes: TestJApplet and TestJInternalFrame

Could you please reproduce this issue with my applet sample on your environment? You can do it by modifying applet.html file according with your web server.

Please provide me with the result.

changing the expression did not solve the problem.

Then I followed your second approach and created a method in my backing bean. Although I do not like this approach, because we are moving view specific things out of the view into the model.

To compute the right value I have to know which row and which column is current.

The row variable from the dataTable can be resolved succesfully but the column variable from the columns object not, workingDay always resolves to null.

So this is probably the reason why the expression never gets true.

If I put in a constant value instead of workingDays it works:

<o:cell condition="#{row.required['1/2008'] gt row.available['1/2008']}" styleClass="error_rvalue"/>

The condition is executed for each cell, but variable "workingDay" is not available in request scope as it should be from my understanding.

But it's available inside of the columns tag, as the percent values are displayed correctly.
