No.of Lines in a Excel  can Jexcel API able to read

Hi All,

 

I am using th eJXL APi to parse the excel sheet and convert it to XML using DOM.

Can any one tell how many Lines can Jexcel API able to read from an Excel.

As we are placing a file which have 5600 lines it was throwing an error as follows

jxl.read.biff.BiffException: The file format is corrupt and some times
out of bound exception

It seems you are using opensource jexcelapi project but not our JExcel library.

To resolve your issue you need contacting jexcelapi community on project site:

Hi Rman,

 

when i used the Jxl.jar file from the project which i have downloaded from the site you provided in your reply.

I got the following error

java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 285212682

 

what does this mean?

I do not know what it means because JExcelAPI is not our product and we do not provide support for this product. Our forum is intedned to provide support for TeamDev products only.
